NSCDC Arrests 26 Year-Old Farmer For Attempted Murder In Kwara

 

A twenty six years old farmer named Ibrahim Enboma has been arrested by Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command for attacking a teenage Fulani herder, Nasiru Sule, with cutlass thereby causing him grievious bodily harm.

According to the spokesman of the civil defence in Kwara State Babawale Zaid Afolabi, the incident occured inside the suspect’s farm at Gwanara District on Tuesday.

According to the information made available to the NSCDC Divisional Office at Gwanara, the suspect met the 17 years old cattle rearer inside his farm roasting some guinea foul eggs on the fateful day. Ibrahim instantly accused Sule of stealing the eggs from his farm.

Mr Babawale stated further that arguement reportedly later ensued between the duo as Sule insisted that he did not steal the guinea fowl eggs from lbrahim’s farm.

The farmer was not satisfied with the fulani boy’s claim of innocence. He attacked him with cutlass and left him in his pool of blood.

A passer- by alerted NSCDC operative to the scene of the incident and the injured Fulani boy was rushed to an undisclosed clinic at neigbouring Moduro village where he is responding to treatment.
The suspected farmer has since been arrest
and taken to NSCDC custody at Gwanara Division for interrogation and further investigation.
