Nigerian Light Heavyweight Champion Masevex Greets Fans, Condoles Anthony Joshua, Targets Strong Return

Former Nigeria’s National Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion, Adewale Masebinu, popularly known as Masevex, has sent warm New Year greetings to his fans and supporters across the country and beyond, while also expressing heartfelt condolences to world-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua over the death of two of his close associates.

In his New Year message, a copy of which was made available to Heritage News, Masevex described the loss as tragic and painful, noting that the global boxing community shares in Joshua’s grief during this difficult period. He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the British-Nigerian heavyweight star and wished him quick emotional and physical recovery.

The Ikere-Ekiti-born boxing champion used the opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to his fans, disclosing that he is currently outside the country undergoing intensive professional training aimed at improving his skills, strength and overall ring performance.

According to Masevex, the overseas training programme is part of his long-term plan to remain competitive, working towards world title and elevate Nigerian boxing on the international stage.

“I am working hard and learning more to become better than I was. This training is to ensure I return stronger and more prepared to give my fans the very best they expect from me,” he said.

The national champion expressed gratitude to his supporters for their unwavering encouragement and loyalty, stressing that their belief in him continues to motivate his career.

Masevex assured that upon completion of his training, he would return in top form and with renewed determination, promising exciting performances and greater achievements in the new year.
