As Nigeria clocks 64 as an independent country, the House of Representatives member representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Rt. Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve has expressed optimism that the country will overcome her current challenges.
The lawmaker enlivened the hope of Nigerians in his greeting message to celebrate the independence day of the country and 28 years creation anniversary of Ekiti state.
Fatoba who praised the efforts of past leaders that fought hard for the independence of Nigeria averred that the country at present is in face of economic and security challenges which have been of a great concern to Nigerians.
He however called on Nigerians to persevere and not to loose hope in the efforts of the present administration under the able watch of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in restructuring the country with a view to bringing a lasting comfort to its citizens.
“We cannot deny the fact that Nigeria as a Nation is currently facing series of challenges which have been of great concern to its citizens.
“We should never loose hope but be optimistic that we will overcome our challenges. We had faced more than this in the past but came out strongly.
“As we are in joyous mood celebrating the 64th independence anniversary of Nigeria, we should keep our hope alive in the capability of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to restructure the country with a view to bringing us back to the right path”
While greeting Nigerians for the 64th independence day celebratio, Rep.Fatoba also sent his warmest greetings to the people of Ekiti state on the celebration of the state’s 28th creation anniversary. He expressed satisfaction over the level of development recorded so far in the state since its creation.
The high ranking member of the green chamber also extended his greetings to the state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji who was the then Secretary of the committee on the creation of Ekiti state.
He called on Ekiti people to remain united towards the development and progress of the state.
