Nigeria Data Protection Commission To Partner EKSU

A Commissioner in the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, (NDPC) Dr Vincent Olatunji has unveiled the Commission’s readiness to partner with Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti in the area of training of data experts and professionals in the institution.

Dr. Olatunji stated this while interacting with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun during a courtesy call to the Vice Chancellor’s office.

The NDPC boss, who is an alumnus of the University led a team of professionals from the Commission to Ekiti State University as part of the preparation for a propossed training being organized by the Commission in the Institution.

Dr Olatunji noted that the visit became necessary to enable them sensitize the officers of the university on the specialities and competence of the resource persons to be involved, assess the infrastructural supports that have been put in place and recommend the quality of training to be carried out with the aim of making the beneficiaries data experts and professionals.

As contained in a statement signed by Head, Information & Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, ttheVice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, in his remarks thanked Dr Vincent Olatunji for his unwavering commitment to contribute to the development of his alma mater evident in the personal contributions in terms of donations of equipment worth several millions of Naira to the university at various times in the past.

Professor Olanipekun, while speaking on the university’s readiness to provide necessary logistic support for the success of the proposed training, assured the team that the institution has all it takes in terms of human and material resources to ensure that the training was conducted according to the established standards of the Commission.

The Vice Chancellor used the occasion to appreciate various efforts put in place by the Director, Directorate of Advancement and Linkages, Professor Olu Olatunji, to facilitate the choice of EKSU by the Commission for the training.
