N197Million: Court Fixes Dec.10 For Hearing of ABUAD Against UBA, Oil Firm

An Ado Ekiti High Court has fixed 10th December,2021 for the hearing of a suit of conversion of 197,000,000 belonging to Afe Babalola University (ABUA) a private university in Ado Ekiti against a new generation bank, an Oil and gas company and one other company in Nigeria.


In a motion filed by the applicant and claimant through its counsel Olakanmi S. Falade Esq. The court granted the exparte order as a substituted order to serve the 2nd and 3rd Respondent respectively.

The case mentioned Afe Babalola university as the first applicant while Onose Oil and gas limited, African investors in Diaspora Association and United Bank for Africa Plc as respondents.

In a ruling by the presiding judge, Hon. Justice A.A Adeleye made available through the Director of Litigation Mrs. Adewumi .O.O on the 23rd of july 2021, the statement read that ” Having listened to the submission of S. Falade Esq learned counsel counsel for the claimnant and having perused the matters placed before the court, leave is hereby granted the claminant to issue a writ of summons,written statement, statement of notice for summary and others initiating process to be served on the 2nd and 3rd defendant outside the jurisdiction of the court”.

The order was signed by the presiding chief judge and the Director for litigation Mrs Adewumi O.O
