Mummy I missed you….
Firstly, let me apologize to those wonderful people who have pleaded with me that I should not to write again about my Mom on FB, hmmmm that may be difficult.
On Sunday 20th October, 2024 I joined other well- wishers in the 2nd anniversary thanksgiving service for H. E Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Okesha, Ado-Ekiti.
That’s my parents’ Church, I grew up attending the Church as a family church though occasionally, the reasons for that will be story for other day. While in that mood of happiness and thanksgiving, suddenly but unintentionally I realized my parents were missing in the congregation.
What? Daddy at home still mourning the loss of his beloved wife and partner, would have be moving his body stylishly; he is not a good dancer. My dear Mummy would have displayed different dancing steps to admiration of every congregant around her.
She was never ashamed to dance to any good music, I think Tope Adigun and I took that from her. She was ever joyous when anyone around had reasons for celebrations.
As I was battling with the reality of her absence behold I was attracted to the side view of the woman in the pictures above, I couldn’t restrained my eyes, and I discovered that her side view resembles that of my Mom.
I shared my thoughts with the SSA Labour who was given me some medical jargon he thought I was going through, my friend, ES laughed when I called his attention to the woman’s back view.
Thankful enough one of my siblings was in the church, I beckoned unto him and show him the woman, he agreed with me that “this woman’s back view resembles that of Mummy ”
Despite the fact that I believe the scripture that says ” … it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Heb 9:27 NKJV) , I stylist snapped the back view and also stepped out of the pew to beyond the face of the woman which is completely different from my Mom’s. I can now understand the strength of that prayer; “may God grant you fortitude to bear the loss”
