Meet Okada Rider, Vigilante Man Who Wins House Of Reps Under LP In Enugu
Hon. Chimaobi Sam Atu of the Labour Party, (LP) an Okada riders, and vigilante Man is now an honourable Member House Representatives-elect as he was declared winner of Enugu North/Enugu South Federal Constituency election conducted last Saturday after defeating the incumbent PDP member.
Declaring the result, the INEC Returning Officer, Dr. (Mrs.) Evelyn Ijeoma Ezepue announced that Hon. Chimaobi Atu of the Labour Party secured a total of 65,247 to defeat his closest opponents, Hon. Nnonso Nnamani of APGA and Hon. Offor Chukwuegbo of the PDP.
Atu was, therefore, returned elected after satisfying all the requirements of the law.
Details of the results showed that Chukwuegbo polled a total of 7,617 votes, while Hon. Nnonso Nnamani scored a total of 9215. The APC candidate, Hon. Juliet Egbo scored 2394 votes.
Atu is a native of Ndiaga Ugwuaji in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Up til his election as Reps-elect, Atu remained a community vigilante member and Okada riders.
