The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro has advised the All Progressives Congress(APC) Chairmanship Candidates for the December 2 local government election to listen to the yearnings of the people if elected into office.
The SSG gave this advice during an interview with newsmen after participating in today’s All Progressives Congress(APC) party primary election nominations for Chairmanship candidate in Ado West LCDA at her political home, Ado ward 11. She charged all the party’s candidates to be magnanimous in victory by bringing together those that contested with them.
Mrs Adubiaro described the primary election nominations as free, fair and peaceful which has again proved APC as the best party where democracy thrives.
She said, “We gather here this morning as loyal party members and leaders to elect the candidate that will fly the party’s flag for the December 2 local government election in Ado West LCDA. We thank God that the exercise went peacefully without any form of violence.
“I will like to use this medium to advise all the elected Chairmanship candidates of our party to listen to the yearnings of the people if elected. The essence of being in government is to cater for the welfare of the people” she advised.
The SSG gave kudos to the state Governor, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for giving leaders and members of the party the opportunity to decide on who to fly the party’s flag for the upcoming local government election in the state. She equally called on party members to give total support to all candidates of the party so that the party can record landslide victory in the local government poll.
“The governor of Ekiti state and the leader of our party, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji should be commended for giving leaders of the party the free hand to decide on who flies the party’s flag for the upcoming local government election in the state.
“Thank God that the primaries have come and gone. What is left for us as party members is to give our support to all the candidates that emerged so that our party can record landslide victory in the upcoming local government poll” she remarked.
