The Amuludun of Okemesi-Ekiti; publisher of Kayegbo International Magazine and initiator of Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Tourism Village, Okemesi-Ekiti, Chief Ogunniyi Morakinyo, has began work on the proposed Agbonna Hillside Tourism Resort, aimed at promoting the tourism potential of the famous ‘Oke Agbonna, in Okemesi.
Located directly behind the Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and Tourism Village, in Okemesi-Ekiti, the Agbonna Hillside Tourism Resort is expected to provide world class tourism experience of best international standard to tourist who would visit the resort when completed.
Towards this end, Chief Morakinyo is soliciting for collaboration with like minds within and outside Okemesi to ensure the timely completion of the Agbonna Hillside Tourism Resort, which when completed, will compete with other global tourism centres and resorts and provide tourists with once in a lifetime tourism experience.
Meanwhile, as part of the menu in the resort, a cenotaph of world heroes and heroines has been erected, which will showcasing global heroes and heroines, who had made their marks in global politics, sports, economy, science, information technology, aviation, among other human endeavours if completed
So far work in the Oke Agbonna Hillside Tourism Resort is at 40 per cent completion with 79 steps to the hillside in Okemesi Ekiti,
even as the initiator awaits further collaboration from well-meaning indigenes of Okemesi-Ekiti, to leverage on the tourism potentials of the community.
