Just In! Son Kills Father Over Retirement Benefits
A man has reportedly killed his father in order to allegedly take over the retirement benefits of the deceased.
According to Flowerbudnews, the man used a piece of wood to hit his father on the head.
The deceased was identified as Warrant Officer, Ogunji, who lived in the FCT.
The report did not indicate which part of the FCT the incident occurred, but had the picture of the son holding the piece of wood squatting besides the corpse.
The deceased had just received his gratuity when the incident happened, according to sources, who added that the son smashed his father’s head with a piece of firewood, and he died instantly.
”It is a sad and unfortunate incident. The son to Rtd WO Ogunji decided to use firewood to hit and kill his dad,Son who had just been paid his gratuity and other allowances after his retirement,” a source said.
Another witness prayed against such gruesome murder.
“What a wicked world. May God never allow us have such children who, instead of taking care of their parents end up killing them because of property or financial gain. So terrible to hear.”
