The race to the Hallowed Chamber has begun in earnest in Ekiti State, the Fountain of Knowledge. And true to their nature as political animals, politicians of different moulds have taken to the centre stage of Ekiti political landscape, which is set for tested and proven leaders to clinch coveted political posts in our dear Country.
In the race for the National Assembly Seats in Ekiti, the good and the bad, the handsome and the ugly are all jostling for the esteemed positions of Honourables in the Nation’s Green Chamber.
As resonant as the word “ Honourable” is in our hearing, many stringent conditions are attached to the political processes of clinching the plum job of the Honourable in our Clime.
John Caldwell Calhoun’s quote that “the very essence of a free government consists in considering offices as a public trusts, bestowed for the good of the country, and not for the benefit of an individual or a party”, gives a useful insight into one of such conditions.
At this juncture, it is imperative to ask the following questions: is Hon Fatoba‘s ‘Second Coming’ bid worthwhile? Does his first term performance score-card qualify him for a Second Chance?
Is Hon Fatoba’s fulfillment of his electoral promises on the deficit side of the Good Governance Scale? Does Hon Fatoba possess the sine- qua-non experience to be returned as the Member representing Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Consistency in Ekiti State?
Without mincing words, Hon Olusola Fatoba’s overall assessment in terms of his achievements in the areas of Education, Technology, and Empowerment have previously been espoused in writing.
His catalogue of achievements are quite intimidating and impressive. Simply stated, Hon Fatoba is a leader with a knack for initiating and completing people-oriented programmes.
In the areas of Agriculture, he has put in place many programmes which centre on improving food production for his Constituents. Apart from giving cutting- edge training to the farmers, he also provided them with fertilizers to boost the productivity.
Many Agricultural facilities were given to the farmers in his Constituency.In consonance with Voltaire Francois Mare Arouet’s dictum that “Work keeps Citizens from the three evils: BOREDOM, VICE, and NEED, Hon Fatoba has used his good offices to secure Federal employments for many members of his Constituency.
Hon Fatoba did not leave any stone unturned in helping many of his Constituents to benefit from many Federal Government Grants and loan facilities such as COVID Funds, Survival Grants, Women Grants and the like.
Ado/Irepodun/Ifelodun Federal Constituency in Ekiti State, no doubt, courtesy of God and Hon Fatoba’s life-changing programmes is now a besotted bride that should not be handed over to an Amateur or Political Green-Horn.
Put succinctly, Hon Fatoba’s Constituency is a transformed Oasis of Peace, Freedom and Prosperity that should be sustained with political finesse and expertise.
Little wonder, Samuel Taylor Coleridge said that “experience is like the stern lights of a ship which illuminate the track it has passed.” By the same token, Hon Olusola Fatoba’s Federal Constituency projects require his requisite experience and Midas Touch.
Our Amiable Hon Fatoba has printed an indelible mark on the Sand of Time through his laudable contributions to the Health –Care Delivery System in his Constituency.
He donated a Cancer Screening Machine to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital(EKSUTH).“A friend in need, honestly, is a friend in indeed.” Without prior notice, Hon Olusola Fatoba’s has given Financial Assistance to many of his Constituents.
This simple act of giving speaks volumes of his kind , selfless and exemplary leadership style. Hon Fatoba often engages in self-deprivation in order to bail a sizeable numbers of his Constituents out of financial quagmire.
Since Hon Fatoba carved his humanitarian teeth like a Parka, he deserves a landslide victory this time around!His cutting-edge empowerment programmes which were geared towards making his Constituents Self-Reliant and Entrepreneurial is one of his Political Unique Selling Points.
The APC Continuity Agenda is not a cakewalk. It is a laudable and proactive concept which enables the Incumbent, who is yet to accomplish some laudable people-oriented projects at the expiration of his tenure , to complete such life –changing projects. Hon Fatoba has presented a tip of an Iceberg of his life-changing programmes for his Constituency.
He requires enough time to deliver all for the benefit of all.In the light of the foregrounding, Hon Olusola Fatoba should be voted en-mass for the Second Term in office.
