A prominent Yoruba traditionalist in Brazil, Babalorisa Thiago Felipe Rafael Soares T’ Oya , the spiritual leader of Casa Aruaná dos ventos do Oya , Ile-Ase T’Oya, has warned his colleagues in the African traditional religion to refrain from Initiating Pastors, Imams and non traditionalists in to the practice of the Yoruba traditional religion.

The traditionalist referred to these categories as opportunists who after gaining powers from the Traditional worshippers still goes around condemning the African traditional religion .

The Brazilian said that most of them look for miracles in the Yoruba traditional religion and take down to their various places of worships , yet they speak bad of the African traditional religion in the public.
He asked his counterparts to refrain from helping them “ We should stop initiating or giving them powers , let them use theirs . Afterall, real pastors and Imams don’t search for powers from traditionalists “ he said.

The Babalorisa who received Heritage News’ Adeyinka Olaiya during a lecture at his traditional groove in Diadema, Saopaulo, said that this attitude is not just in Nigeria, but also in Brazil , he said that many pastors look for him to resolve personal and spiritual problems while they will ask their church members to do fasting and prayers “ who is fooling who “ he said

The Candomble practitioner sent warnings to his Nigerian counterparts, he asked them to respect the religion of their forefathers and stop initiating those who publicly oppose the African religion but participate in the hidden .
The spiritual leader affirmed that all religions are the same , they all have the same objective of doing good , he said some pastors really have divine powers, only the troublesome ones invades other people’s religious beliefs .
The Babalorisa and his colleagues , Babakekere-Marcone Agripino T’Xango , Ekedji- Izabel da Luz T’ Obaluae , Iyawo- Elisa Angélica T’Oya and several other traditionalists present advised all Traditionalists to emulate the sincere character of Baba Orunmila , the Baba-Ifa who set an example of sincerity .
