The State Missioner of ALFATHU-L-QAREEB in Ekiti state, Imam Abdulhakeem Afenifere has urged adherent of Islamic faith to imbibe spirit of forgiveness and gratitude.
The cleric stated this in his sermon to members of ALFATHU-L-QAREEB, Idemo branch, Ado-Ekiti on Sunday when he paid them a visit.
According to the Missioner, Muslims must learn how to forgive anyone that offends them and also be grateful for any favour done them.
“There are two things being mentioned in the Holy Quran. These words are, keep your eyes away and forget how it happens.
“This first word, ‘keep your eyes away’ means imbibing the spirit of forgiveness. As a good Muslim, you should learn how to forgive anyone that does you wrong.
“The second word, ‘forget how it happens’ means showing act of ingratitude for a favour done you by anyone. A good Muslim should always be grateful for whatever favour that is done him”
Imam Afenifere implored Muslims never to allow worldly pleasures to prevent them from doing what is just before Almighty Allah.
“There are five things we should not allow worldly pleasures to steal away from us. These five things are, period, good character, being good to your wife, being good to those around you and transparency.
“A good Muslim must keep to all these good virtues as stipulated in the Holy Quran”
The Missioner called on members of ALFATHU-L-QAREEB to always abide by the teachings of the Holy Quran.
