Ilogbo Ekiti Day 2023: 4-9 August, Why You Should Join Me

Note: Though, the event was 4-9 August, but the historical background of the event is the reason for this publication.

“Apart from the fact that I have joined the people of Ilogbo Ekiti in promotion and showcasing Ope Oloriyeye – the only Palm Tree in the world with 42 heads, I believe one other reason is the fact that Ilogbo Ekiti was my major town of sale when I was hawking Iru – the business of my late grandmother.

“The people of Ilogbo embraced me and my Iru to the extent that most times there was no leftover.

“Anytime I sensed low sales in Ilogbo, I would just trek to Aiyegunle (former Inu) then Iroko, Oke Oro ( Idaho) where I met the fine boy scout, Niyi Babade, the CNN journalist, whose father was the king and sometimes adventure to Ijero.

“I am very proud of this.
I am also grateful to God and the people of Ilogbo Ekiti for this honor”.
