Igbo Trader Allegedly Beats A Woman To Stupor In Ekiti

An Igbo trader identified as Charles Nwankwor was reported to have allegedly beaten a woman to stupor in Ado-Ekiti this morning.

The woman was hospitalised at the accident and emergency Unit, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital as a result of the serious beating by the Igbo trader.

An eye-witness who identified himself as Mr Lamidi Ishola narrated to our correspondent that the woman, Mrs Adeola Adeniran by name, a trader and shop owner at Post office had a clash with the Igbo trader who she accused of putting his goods in front of her shop.

According to the eye-witness, the woman and the igbo trade have had similar clash on countless occasions and have gone to police station and the king’s palace on several times for settlement.

The Igbo trader was said to have refused to obey the order given him not to display his goods infront of the woman’s shop which is far away distance from his shop.

Efforts are still ongoing to reach out to the Igbo trader to hear his own side of the story as at the time of filling this report.

We are both tenant at eyeloro plaza her shop is facing main road while mine is at the back she has blocked the road that lead to my shop until I went to customary court to vacate her from the road after the court vacated her she was not happy on last Thursday I asked a carpenter to use tampolin to block rain from falling on
    my goods her father stopped him so carpenter called me when I got to shop as I was entering my shop her father draged my clothe I didn’t answer I entered my shop immediately he started destroying my canter so I brought out phone to video record him immediately he came to me Infront of my shop and hit me a blow then all the garage boys rushed down held me and mobbed attack me she came too and bite me about nine men was beaten me as soon as she bit me she sat down and fain sick I didn’t touch her I was hit with plank, stick,stone and punches.i was able to run to police station and subsequently I went to police clinic to treat myself when police went to arrest the father Mr Adetifa my elder brother went to point him out to police but at the seen my brother was attacked he is still at state hospital.my sales girl who was not even around when I was attacked was arrested since Thursday till now.my elder sister went to attend to my brother she was also arrested at the hospital by civil defense is this write God will judge all of you
