The Yoruba Icon and Araba-Ifa of Osogbo, high priest Ifayemi Elebuibon said in Brazil that the gods of the Yorubas, the Yoruba deities were also beings who lived and demonstrated wonderful characters on earth, they were souls who lived and performed miraculous things before they died and became Orishas that the Yorubas worship today.
The Ifa priest attended to the Yorubas at a conference organized to celebrate him in Brazil , he recognized the miraculous things that Jesus Christ did on earth, he also equated such to the attitudes of some Yoruba gods.
Araba Ifayemi implored that the Yorubas around the world should continue to promote their religion wherever they are, he said that the Jewish and the Arabs are also doing the same to elevate their religion.
He mentioned Orunmila and immediately set the issues straight that if Jesus Christ was a Yoruba having such a huge amount of followers around the world , he would be worshipped just in the very way and manner the Yorubas worship their gods , they were people who lived as beings and did well while on earth.
Elebuibon said that all indigenous religions in Africa are worthy, they must not be allowed to fade off
He applauded the Yorubas in Brazil as they promote the Yoruba arts, culture, tradition and religion.
