Ifa and Orisa spirituality is ancestral , steeped in nature . It refers to the wisdom passed down from our ancestors and spiritual progenitors.
In Brazil , Isese is a way of life . it has become the patrimony of the Brazilian people who find peace and tranquility in serving the Irunmoles ( Deities)
The current President of Brazil , Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva , on January , 5th , 2023 , approved of ISESE DAY ( March 21st) as a special day for all traditional worshipers in Brazil to celebrate their gods ..
In this same vibe , the African Cultural Center , a leading sócio-cultural and traditional organization in Brazil , presents Isese day to all , it will celebrate this day ( Isese Day ) in grand style .
The African Cultural Center , in collaboration with prominent persons and institutions in Brazil , will celebrate a long week of cultural and traditional activities . This will mark the importance of Isese in Brazil
ISESE DAY in Brazil , will be a display of culture and spirituality ; with parties, festivals, parades, lectures and display of traditional apparels in Saopaulo, Brazil.
In this capacity as a traditionalist and Oba Ogboni Iwashe fraternity (Worldwide ) , the president and founder of the African cultural center , Saopaulo , i humbly present the first ever official ISESE DAY in Brazil to all Yoruba traditionalists worldwide. It’s time to officially celebrate our Ancestors .
The Yoruba Religion is a traditional religious and spiritual concepts and practices of the Yoruba people. Its homeland is in present-day Southwestern Nigeria and parts of Benin and Togo . The Yoruba religion has crossed over the shores of Africa and its all over the South , Central and North America ; Brazil , Cuba , Trinidade and Tobago through the transatlantic slave trade . The religion is also present in Europe and Asia.
The practices of our forefathers ( Isese ) believes that ‘Olodumare “ is the most important ‘state of existence’ that ‘ Olodumare ‘ gave ’emi’ (the breath of life) to humankind. In that sense, ‘ Olodumare ‘ is Supreme
Orisas are divine entities that possesses the capability of reflecting some of the manifestations of ‘Olodumare “ Yoruba Orisas “ are often described as intermediaries between humankind and the supernatural. The term is also translated as ‘Deities’ or ‘Divinites’ or ‘Gods’ ( Awon Irumoles ) i.e Orunmila, Esu , Ogun, Yemoja, Osun , Sango , Oya, e.t.c. These Orisas are regarded as the principal Orisa- Irunmoles from ‘Erinrun’-400′ Imole.
The Orisas are alive , they are born everyday within the consciousness of a new born, whether they know it or not. So many of us have lost our traditional values, and so therefore, have lost our ways. It’s a painful that, when some people sees traditionalist practising Isese, dressed in traditional clothing and honouring their roots, heritage and culture, these set of people refers to them as uneducated, and devil worshippers. All because they have choosen not to forget the ways , religions and the practices of their forefathers.
ISESE is embracing and honouring the tradition, culture, and heritage of our Ancient people, our Ancestors , who have left this wonderful legacy for us, which we must continue to observe and never allow to fade off .
In the sacred beliefs of our forefathers , I humbly present ISESE DAY (March 21st) to all traditionalists in Brazil and worldwide.
