I Love Walking For A Number Of Reasons 😌
The health benefits are well known, but there is a feel good effect that comes with my morning walk.
It affords me the opportunity to take in fresh air, to appreciate nature, the hills, the plants , the birds 🐦 chirping away, the innocent kids being walked to school by their parents, or walking together as friends, I have had reasons to take pictures 📸 of all these in the past, they all just make me happy somewhat.
My glands get excited during my walks leading to the secretion of pheromones and endorphins.
But in addition to all these, the ones that freaks me out the most are the graffitis, from regular “#kontiri” men and women who tend to express themselves in their signposts or on walls .
Some of those written expressions [ and I have seen all sorts] mostly in pidgin English,grammatically incorrect or needing spell checks.
Some to advertise a product or service, some to convey their aspiration like..Dangote no get two head[s], some take on the nature of social crusade..”Emefiele wey my money”.
Some to express their frustration like..”Nah one Mama born poor man oo “, some to chastise people in power, Baba Buhari, money no dey oo, or some taking the form of encouragement, like..no food for lazy man.
Indeed some to crack you up, Sisi Caro, this your waka.. or Asawo no be wok nah to hold bodi” I have seen all sorts.. and I truly agree that Nigerians are just gifted people.
So this morning, as l was taking my walk, on a route that I am familiar with,suddenly I noticed this signpost to my amazement with the name of the President elect😳..I froze! I said to myself “my Naija people”! Obviously recently erected.
The name Tinubu with the welder, just burst my brains, it immediately took me to my Marketing class in MBA school.
This is what is described as personality identification[PI] in Marketing,which could come in any form, Could come with pictures, or name attachment.
It is basically to do two things, secure some mileage and enhance recall and recognition for the product or service being promoted or indeed the person behind it.
I said to myself SHARP MAN..#street #nah #oga #of #classroom!
But I began to also look beyond the face value signpost, to a more reflective meaning of the signpost, particularly of the TINUBU that the guy added.
I said this may just an item on the job description of the President-Elect, #Asiwaju #Bola #Ahmed #Tinubu, i.e to WELD NIGERIA 🇳🇬 and NIGERIANS TOGETHER.
This is becoming an imperative, coming after the General Elections that has further ripped Nigerians apart, from what the Muslim Muslim ticket has generated, to the disagreement from a section of the youth population who belong to the obedient movement feeling that their votes didn’t count.
To our brothers from the Eastern part still agitating for Biafra Republic,and to the anger that trailed the LAGOS IS A NO MAN’S LAND reckless statement, etc 🙄
Nigeria and Nigerians 🇳🇬 sure NEED A WELDER IN ASO ROCK NOW.
Well I gat one for you, wether on the street or indeed one in the President Elect, the message is simple, WE NEED A WELDER NOW.
This is to wish my brothers and Sister in Islam ☪️ a fulfilling Ramadan.
May Almighty Allah grant your supplication and the reward of your self denial all through this holy month.. you may also include this in your prayers.. our nation needs a welder NOW!
