I applied Option B : Bayo Bankole , aka Boy Alinco criticized Nig.Theater Industry

The U.S based Nigerian Nollywood star , Mr.Bayo Bankole aka Alinco has revealed why he suddenly left the theater scene in Nigeria , the actor popularly known as boy Alinco relocated to the United States of America 6 years ago .

According to the Nollywood Star, Nígeria was not ready to elevate theater to its right position, he said the future of theater in Nigeria was uncertain , the Industry was dying , he needed to apply Option B as the only option left . He was tired of constant irregularities in the Industry.

The Nigerian artiste was a guest speaker on a live Radio/Television program “Gbagede Oro” anchored by the Brazil based Nigerian-Yoruba Artist and journalist , Adeyinka Olaiya and Dare Olusan of Tap Rádio / South África. He revealed the hectics he went through in the streets of Lagos trying to secure sponsors for theatre programs . He called for sponsors

Bayo Bankole lamented the death of the Yoruba Comedian , Baba Suwe , he advised that funds be raised to cater for theater practitioners. He advised against politicizing the industry . The controversial actor said he did not abandon his theater career in Nigeria , he said the industry requires finance , he intend to return home and invest heavily in the industry .

The Nigerian theater showman criticized the industry in Nigeria, he said the leaders are corrupt and self-centered. He advised the authorities to consider honest and competent persons to run the affairs of the industry .

Angry with the political , social and economic situation in Nigeria , Bayo Bankole condemned the Govts. of Goodluck Ebere Jonathan and Mohammed Buhari , he said they worsened the nation .

The Texas based Nollywood star used the Yoruba expression “ Sa Asala Fun Emi Re “ to describe his reasons for relocating to the United States of America . “ I needed to save my future , my pension , my family , my career , I had no option than applying Option B” – he concluded .
