A septigenarian, who used to be Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s tailor, a.k.a (BAO) Pa David Aina has expressed that Governor Oyebanji has made him to feel in a way he has never felt in his life from his youth till now that he is 72 years old.
In an interview with Heritage News on Thursday in Ado Ekiti, Pa Aina revealed how BAO made him overwhelmingly happy the way he has never felt since he was born
He revealed,”it was a great surprise to me, the day Governor Oyebanji paid a surprise visit to me in in my shop and was the one one that gave me money for the entertainment when I was the one that should entertain him.
“The governor did not stop at that, he went further to send some people to me some days after his visit to my shop and the people said they came on the order of the governor to come examine my shop for immediate reconstruction.
“This again shocked me, and I told them that this place is my rented apartment, that I will appreciate if the governor can bring it to my permanent site at Jimoh Aliu area in Ado Ekiti.
“The Governor did not object to this and I took him to my site and started the construction which he completed within 3 weeks, if we should quantify this now, the construction will not have cost the Governor less than #2million.
“With all these gestures and unmerited favour , I will describe Governor BAO as exceptional, a God sent and the the best Governor ever in Ekiti, and by the grace of God , this is just the beginning. ‘He will finish this his first term and go for a second term and will still go to the Federal, that is our prayers for him’.
“I pray for him every day since then, and our family prays for him too. A lot of people are talking about him in town everywhere and all what people are saying about him has been so impressive and I am particularly happy for this. I just want to encourage him to keep it up because they said this is how he has been doing”.
“He has made me to look like a king among that fashion designers in Ado Ekiti. Among my friends and colleagues. I now earn greater respect and recognition among my colleagues, friends and professional associates as a result of how Governor has come into my life.
“I have never practiced politics in my life, but since Governor BAO came to my life I have been spurred into politicking and I have taken it seriously all because of BAO, I and my entire family and friends are going to continue to give him all our supports.”
Pa Aina who traced the genesis of his meeting with Governor Oyebanji to the time the Governor was a student about 25 years ago when he used to sow clothes for him and his friend then.
The man who has his David’s Cut located at stadium area in Ado Ekiti said he never expected that BAO will one day become that will come governor [and give him special recognition and uplifting like this said “it is good to always be good to people because only God knows tomorrow”.
