Governor Oyebanji should be one of the governors who is deeply rooted in the grassroots .
This is because Mr Governor had put up a strong structure and measures that ensure all programs , activities and benefits of his government trickle down to the grassroots.
It is Mr Governor’s belief that to lead a prosperous live in a rural state like Ekiti, there must be a deliberate move to improve the livelihoods of every community and individual at the grassroots .
Yesterday, Office of Community Communications had two major grassroots events ;
1. Unveiling of BAO STREET CONNECT at the Okesa Market square Ado Ekiti. It is a grassroots communication platform that will communicate not only government activities but also opportunities to the people on the streets such as motor parks , Markets , popular street junctions etc.
2. Community engagement in Isinbode Ekiti and distribution of maize palliatives to members of the communities who are livestock farmers in Gbonyin/Aiyekire .
Recall that different associations of livestock farmers have been given 10,000 bags of maize palliatives last week . The community engagement is another platform to reach out to livestock farmers in rural areas who probably do not belong to any of the existing livestock farmers associations.
