The Honourable Member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency of Benue State continues to demonstrate unreserved committment towards the overall growth and development of his constituency, using every available opportunity.
The Reps Member who is known for his infrastructural and human resource development drive has facilitated the empowerment of twenty (20) of his constituents through the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN).
The beneficiaries were taken though a three days hands-on training in diverse areas of their respective interests, presented with certificates and take-off equipments.
The training which took place in Makurdi, the Benue state capital had several skills sets under focus including; fashion designing, hair dressing, shoe making, catering and confectioneries.
Each beneficiary was given the basic equipment for his/her chosen skills ranging from Industrial sewing machines, hair dryers, shoe making machines etc.
Represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Mr. Ben Ekah at the presentation of certificates and equipments to the beneficiaries, Hon. Godday charged the beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity and add societal values by utilizing the skills and knowledge gained from the training while ensuring that the equipments are put to use as required.
The Reps Member further thanked the Director General/Chief Executive, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), Mr. Olawale Fasanya for the fruitful partnership, while promising to hold in high esteem, the unprecedented show of love at all times.
Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Abubarkar Ochi thanked the Honourable Member for the gesture, noting that it is indeed a worthwhile moment to add additional skills and be empowered to kick-start business operations at the same time.
