Herbalist Kills Friend In Error In Ekiti
Tragedy struck at Emure Ekiti, headquarters of Emure Local Government of Ekiti state on Sunday when a 35 year-old man, Sunday Joseph from Ihima Local Government in Kogi State was allegedly murdered by one Joseph Kantala, 38, from Planta Local Government Plateau State.
According to findings by Ekiti Amotekun corps Emure command, both of them are resident at Adeboye Camp in Emure Ekiti.
According to reports, the duo were testing a native cutlass resistance charm called ‘okigbe’ on Sunday evening when Sunday Joseph, an herbalist who prepared the charm gave it to his friend Kantala.
But a drama ensued at the testing time when he used the cutlass to chop off the hand of his friend but the charm failed as Joseph Sunday’s was was cut off from the body and he bled to death as there was no immediate medical attention.
Investigations are ongoing as at time of filing this report.
