The Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC) of Ondo State, has lauded majority voters in Edo State governorship election, for giving a four-year mandate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mr. Monday Okpebholo.

The body also congratulated APC’s Okpebholo who will succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki of the PDP on November 12, this year, describing him as a true agent of change.

The LACO-FSIC in a statement by one of its Directors, Hon. Dare Aliu, issued on Monday, described the Edo governorship election as elixir for the people of Ondo State, “who are fully prepared to elect Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa come November 16, to make him continue with his good works.”

According to Aliu, the Edo voters were sore tired of the lack of infrastructural development in the state in the PDP years, thus making them to restore power to the APC.

“We commend the courage of majority voters in Edo State in taking power away from the PDP, bearing its abysmal performance under Obaseki and restoring it to the APC, having fully appraised the track record and competence of its governorship candidate, Mr Monday Okpebholo.

“This remarkable feat is elixir for the people of Ondo State, who are at the moment celebrating the sterling performance of the APC under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and are determined to give him a four-year mandate, as they would not want to experience infrastructural decay in Ondo State, as has been witnessed in Edo under PDP.

“It is, therefore, time for the Edo people to enjoy a new breeze of progressive moves in the state’s administration, as the APC is a focused party with clear development agenda; since it is not a party that makes an empty promise of hoping to build a castle in the air only to end up doing nothing,” the LACO-FSIC director appraised.

Aliu added that the Aiyedatiwa administration in Ondo State had a development agenda which it has begun to implement, noting that there are tell-tale signs of a fast-developing Ondo State through various infrastructural projects going on across the 18 local government areas of the state.

He also said the governor prioritised public welfare through regular payment of salaries and allowances, and the release of over N2 billion as soft loans in aid of those in the non-formal sector.

Aiyedatiwa, he added, had long instituted free bus shuttles for school children and he is at the moment undergoing the beautification of communities in the state, especially Akure, the state’s capital.

Aliu went further, stating that the state’s administration had subsidised health delivery through his recently launched enhanced health scheme, meant to cater to the need of the less-privileged.

“These are just tips of the iceberg in the plethora of both physical and non-physical achievements recorded by Governor Aiyedatiwa in only nine months of assuming office, which have wowed many observers who saw the feats as supersonic,” he stressed.
