.Promise Massive Votes During Election.
In order to enjoy continuity in the area of peace, regular payment of workers’ salaries , social security scheme (Ounje Arugbo) and other developmental initiative programmes, there is the need to mobilize and vote massively for All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr Biodun Oyebanji in the coming governorship election in Ekiti State.
The Director General, BAO women campaign Council, Honourable Oluremi Ajayi stated this in Ado Ekiti at different fora tagged with cloth sellers Association (Egbe Alaso) Yam sellers Association(Egbe Onisu) and Women Professionals in Ekiti State .
Honorable Ajayi said Governor Kayode Fayemi led Administration had created a conducive environment for market women through loans and grants to improve their businesses adding that the APC Governorship Candidate has similar developmental programmes and plans for all traders.
On her part, Chairperson of the Sub -Committee on Private Sector Chief Mojisola Fafure informed the groups that various project initiated and inaugurated by Governor Kayode Fayemi led Administration such as Ekiti State Civic Centre, the New Ado-Iyin road, resusisication of Ikogosi warm-spring and other projects needed to be appreciated through massive votes from the people.
In another forum with a cross section of women professionals in Ekiti tagged “Breakfast Meeting with BAO”, the Chairperson,Sub- Committee on Women Professionals, Mrs Margret Fagboyo said Governor Fayemi has signed various memorandum of understanding and action plans with Development Partners such as World Bank, European Union and others which had started yeilding positive results urging the professionals to join in canvassing for votes for the APC candidate so that the good relationship the State is enjoying with Development Partners can continue.
On her part, the wife of the APC Governorship Candidate, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji promised to continue with various welfare packages and programmes initiated by the First Lady ,Erelu Bisi Fayemi if her husband, Biodun Oyebanji is voted to power.
Responding on behalf of their groups , leader of Cloth Sellers Association, Mrs Akintunde solicited government patronage on their businesses and asked for a functional vehicle for members wile leader of Yam Sellers Association who is also Iyalaje of Mojere market in Ado Ekiti, Chief (Mrs) Ojo, promised her group’s readiness to support and vote for APC in June 18 governorship poll.
In the same vein, speaking on behalf of women professionals in Ekiti, a retired civil servant, Mrs Grace Atewologun and an Health worker, Dr. Omolola Alao observed that financial and material empowerment of women across the sixteen local government had placed Ekiti women on pedestal of economic self reliance hence the need for massive votes from Ekiti women to ensure continuity.
