The Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to Ekiti state Governor on Agricultural Extension Services, Dr. Sikiru Olowoyo has said that the state Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji is placing high value on Agricultural Extension Services to bridge the gap between extension services and farmers as well as taking government intervention policies to the local farmers.
The Governor’s aide made this known during a meeting with the leadership of Agricultural Development Program(ADP), Ekiti state chapter on Monday, 7th October, 2024.
The meeting which took place at the SSA’s office in Ado-Ekiti centered on how to re-model and revamp the ADP program.
Dr. Olowoyo commended the Governor on his interest and impactful interventions in the Agricultural sector of the state.
Other highlights of the meeting between the Governor’s aide and the ADP leadership included, how to enhance farmers’ productivity in the state, strengthening Extension activities in all the three Senatorial districts, foster Public/Private partnership and collaboration and integration of all agricultural technologies for better agricultural production in Ekiti state.
The acting programme manager of ADP, Mr. Adegbola Bamidele on behalf of other principal officers at meeting appreciated Dr. Olowoyo for warm reception and promised to work hand in hand with the state government towards re-modelling and revamping the programme in the state.
