As the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi celebrates his 33rd wedding anniversary today, the number one citizen’s union with the First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has been described as a huge blessing to humanity.
A prominent member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye, said Fayemi’s family has not only become successful at individual level, but had positively impacted lives, making them moulders of human destinies.
The Lawmaker representing Ikole constituency 2, said this, on Friday, in his congratulatory message to the Fayemis on their 33rd wedding anniversary.
Aribasoye appreciated God for sustaining the union signed by Fayemi and Adeleye families on 2nd September, 1989 , thereby bringing Kayode and Bisi together, branding the day a blessed one for humanity.
The lawmaker said from a humble beginning, the Ekiti First Family, had built themselves to global icons, recognised as defenders of human rights, warriors against gender inequality and strong advocates for good governance.
Aribasoye said Ekiti, Nigeria and global community would forever appreciate the Fayemis, for promoting peace and family values via robust empowerments, human emancipation and family values across the globe.
“Let me congratulate my leader and mentor, Governor Kayode Fayemi and Ekiti’s mother-General, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, for keeping faith with God and humanity in the last 33 years of their existence as a family.
“I appreciate the glory of God in your lives and for being so sufficiently kind in sustaining your highly beneficial and resourceful union for the past three decades.
“I know that if you look back at that humble beginning you fondly remembered with nostalgic feelings, you have every reason to glorify God, because of the fame you have attained and successes you have recorded at your personal level and in so many lives before becoming governor.
“I beseech God to continually imbue you with wisdom, strength, gravitas , resources and good health, to sustain your beneficial exploits for humanity”, Aribasoye said.
Aribasoye added that the Ekiti’s first family has built a great castle of honour, honesty and integrity, even in an environment where corruption and decadence breed faster, thereby making them a model across the universe.
