..Says award attests to governor’s giant strides

The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers has sent congratulatory message to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his prestigious award as Governor of the Year, 2023 in community development by Daily Independent Newspaper.
The Council in a statement signed by its Chairman, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, the Olojudo of Ido-Ekiti said they were proud that the acknowledgment from the reputable media establishment is in tandem with most views of Ekiti people across the globe and particularly by all the royal fathers from the state.
According to the statement, the traditional rulers said they can attest to the magnitude of achievements of the Governor since assumption of office and they can bear unequivocally, that the award is well deserving.
The Council said, “Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers heartily congratulates His Excellency Mr Biodun Oyebanji on his award as the Governor of the year in Community Development by Independent Newspaper on May 3, 2024.
“The Council is very proud this acknowledgment which has come from a reputable media establishment is consistent with the perception of most Ekiti people across the globe, and particularly by all Ekiti royal fathers.
“As a Council, we can attest to the magnitude of your achievements since assuming office and we can bear, unequivocally that the award is well deserving”
The traditional rulers stated further that the award bestowed on the governor points to his great works in the development of their communities in various ways including provision of power supply to rural communities that had last seen electricity for decades.
They expressed their satisfaction on Governor Oyebanji’s community participation approach to governance and its overall impact on government policies and project execution.
The Council encouraged the governor to keep this laudable feat up and assured him of their royal blessings.
“We are particularly pleased to note that the awards points to your great works in the development of your great works in the development of our communities in various ways including provision of power supply to rural supply to rural communities that had last seen electricity for decades past. We also acknowledge your numerous achievements in rural and urban roads among others.
“We are pleased with your community participation approach to governance and its overall impact on government policies and projects execution.
