The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has restated the commitment of his administration to ensure that private investment blossom in Ekiti state.
The Governor in an address delivered on his behalf by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro at a one-day retreat with the theme, “Empowering Ekiti State and the South-West for Socio Economic Advancement” organized for members of Ekiti State House of Assembly by Cavista Holdings at Ikogosi Warm Springs Resorts and Conference Center, Ikogosi on Wednesday said
Ekiti remains a leading state in the ease of doing business in Nigeria and one of the best in the Southwest. He promised to do everything possible to sustain this laudable feat.
He stated further that the retreat is an eloquent testimony to the symbiotic relationship that exists between the state and private sector community.
“Ekiti remains a leading state in the ease of doing business in Nigeria and one of the best in Southwest. Be assured that we will do everything to ensure we continue in this traction.
“Today’s program is an eloquent testimony to the symbiotic relationship that exists between the state and private sector community. We are committed to do everything possible to create the necessary enabling environment for private investment to blossom in Ekiti state”
While giving an assurance of enabling environment for private investors, the Governor acknowledged the fact that the shared prosperity vision of his administration will largely be led by the prosperity of a private-sector led economy that is able to provide job opportunities and tax revenues for the state. He expressed enthusiasm about the good job Cavista is doing in Ekiti state.

Earlier, the Chairman and founder of Cavista Holdings, Mr Niyi John Olajide in his welcome address described private sector as a key driver of economic development. He established that government must partner with private sector to ensure economic growth.
The Speaker of Ekiti state House of Assembly, Rt.(Hon) Adeoye Aribasoye who spoke on behalf of his colleagues at the retreat pledged the support of the legislators for the state government on Ekiti development.
Among the important dignitaries that attended the retreat were, the former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, Former Senator representing Ekiti North Senatorial District and who also the Chief Economic Adviser to Ekiti State Government, Olubunmi Adetunmbi, House of Representatives member representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, Hon(AVM Rtd) Rufus Ojuawo, Chairman, conference of Speakers and Speaker, Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt(Hon) Adebo Ogundoyin, that of his Ogun state counterpart and U.S Consul General, Mr. Will Stevens.
