Question
can you give us your details including your resume and your real name, What is your educational background, How and when did you start your music career and what motivated you?

Answer
My name is Igbeda Christopher Olawole aka Prince Krix Walawala M.E.A from Igbara odo Ekiti Ekiti state. I started my educational pursuit at Baptist primary school Ikogosi before finishing at St Joseph’s Catholic primary school Ikere Ekiti where I graduated as the School senior boy and band leader.

I had my secondary education at African church comprehensive high school Ikere and Christ’s school Ado where I made all my papers in my first attempt before proceeding to Ondo state University Ado Ekiti where I read microbiology.

To me, music is inborn because its an inheritance from my grandfather. It comes to me naturally since I was a toddler. I’ve been singing all my life since age three that my father will take me to public places to entertain. I formed my first band (show boy and brothers) at the age of ten in Ikere Ekiti after the death of my father.

What is your genre and why did you choose it? When did you start?

Answer
I think I’ve answered When I started because I started music unconsciously as a kid, I mean music is my life. I have to carve a niche for myself by bringing out African Gbedu wish is a blend of hip hop, reggae and Afro beat with Ekiti lyrics. I created it to promote Ekiti cultural heritage across the globe and I started since my days in OSUA where I won several awards including the best entertaining graduand of the year.

Can you give us the list of your albums so far?

Answer
I did African hero to eulogies late Col Adekunle Fajuyi , Identity, Ekiti my Ekiti Oni uyi 2022 commemorating the Member of Ekiti state Ambassador award confered on me by formal governor of Ekiti HE Kayode Fayemi.

I’ve done a lot of popular singles and countless political jingles including videos checkmating immoralities and violence in our society, Home is far away’ remain an evergreen album and a reverence point over the world to project the cultural value of Ekiti.

Presently I am working on a spectacular collaborative song hopefully with Mr Governor and the title is _ _ _ _. Its going to beat everybody imagination.

What has been your achievements over the years? Do you feel fulfilled?

Answer
Yes I feel fulfilled because I see myself as an archiever for realising my long time dream through Erelu Bisi Fayemi and BAO. I say to God be the glory.

What did Governor Oyebanji do for you recently and how do you feel about it?

Answer
I thank His Excellency Governor Oyebanji for the provision of a standard recording studio for me in Ado Ekiti.

He also bought a new set of musical instruments and studio equipment s amongst other things to promote my art.

The studio will be commissioned soon.

I pray that God will continue to guard and guide him. Again! To Governor Oyebanji, I pray God almighty will bless you mightily

What did you think has warranted what Governor Oyebanji did for you?

Answer
I would say its God’s doing and I see BAO as an angel sent to me to fulfil my purpose in life. I am extremely elated. It is an undeserved favour from God and I return all glory back to HIM.

Who are all other people that has contributed to your music career?
They are countless but I will appreciate my grandfather late Pa Jeremiah Igbeda who passed the music baton on to me, my egalitarian father late S.O. Igbeda who discovered me from cradle and nurtured me before he passed on in 1977. I equally want to appreciate my wife, my mother, my siblings, friends and foes for pushing me to my Eldorado.

What do you plan to do next?
After releasing my next album, I want to do talents hunt in Ekiti to discover and promote budding talents in Ekiti for the whole world to see. I am planning with my people to turn Ekiti to art, tourism and entertainment hub in Africa God willing.

About your albums what has be your inspiration to compose all the songs ,what joy have you get in it ?

Answer
My kind of music is more or less psychological, i don’t just sing i sing to inspire people, i sing to motivate people, i sing to tell you that sky is your starting point, i sing to tell you that you should never retreat the hard way is the only way if you discover yourself you must be consistent no matter what before you can be great you must face alot of challenges but tough time never last but tough people do these as be my inspiration i don’t just sing for the fun of it i sing to motivate people to tell people some fact that come in it because I see myself as an instrument of God and I thank God that he fit to use and I promise never to relent.

What is your advice to budding and prospective artistes?

Answer
I will tell them that music is not a bed of roses. You must believe in yourself and remain focused. Winners never quit and quitters never win. Never, I say never give up. Just keep building your skills and please don’t do drugs because its a talent killer.

Who are the people you like to appreciate so far?
Answer

After God its my Foster mother, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for believing in my talent.
Equally my Governor, His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji for his support, after that is Sen. Ayo Arise who has been my source of inspiration.

I also like to specially appreciate my wife Bisi Apollo Wala, my patron, Are Olu Oloworemo, family friends and well wishers across the globe for their love and prayers. I love you all!
