The Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressive Party (APC) in Irepodun/ Ifelodun local government area of Ekiti State, Hon Oluwaseun Gbenga Ogunleye take local government staff welfare as a priority if elected.
He has promised to improve the welfare of the local government staff if elected.
Ogunleye said he would improve on the welfare of workers to enjoy the dividends of their commitment when elected.
He pledged to continue to improve the wellbeing and welfare of workers in the state if elected.
The Chairmanship hopeful said workers’ welfare and wellbeing will be prioritized under his administration in view of the fact that they are key stakeholders in any administration.
He, therefore appeal to the labour leaders in the council area to support him to become the next chairman.
Hon Ogunleye promised that his administration will put efforts to improve on the wellbeing of workers.
According to him, in as much as the government of the All Progressives Congress is proud of its achievements in the area of Welfarism and IGR, he will consider the welfare of the staff driving the performance.
“Civil servants are the bedrock of any organization and as such, more motivation is needed for our workers .
We will also embark on a sizeable number of roads and school rehabilitation with the preliminary fixing of our health service basic needs,” Ogunleye said.
Earlier said considerable efforts should also be put into ensuring that the staff in the council that oversees the IGR drive are well motivated.
“The treatment of the staff in the council will be given priority and they will be promoted by the regulating commission as at when due and this will improve revenue collection management.”
Ogunleye said that most Ekiti councils are viable as such should improve on their internally generated revenues with the untapped resources around them.
