Good Turnout in Ikogosi as Oyebanji Casts His Vote

The atmosphere at the country home of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, was exciting early this morning when Oyebanji came out to cast his vote.

Oyebanji who arrived unit 03, ward 6, Okelele compound, Ikogosi Ekiti in Ekiti West Local Government at 10:30 voted few minutes later.

Oyebanji, who voted alongside his wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, told journalists after the exercise that he was impressed by the orderliness in the unit.

“I can only base my assessment on what happened in my unit and so far, it’s been very impressive and seamless. I love the orderliness of the exercise and I commend all the stakeholders; the electorates, the electoral body and the security agencies,” Oyebanji said.

Asked if he was sure of victory at the end of the exercise, Oyebanji said he was optimistic, considering the achievement of the ruling APC in government and the issue-based campaign that was carried out until Thursday morning.

While commending the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its level of preparedness which showed in the orderly manner of the exercise, Oyebanji urged the electoral umpire to strengthen its sensitization mechanism to compliment political party’s awareness exercise about election participation.
