The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro has charged students in tertiary institutions to get their dream right about what they aim of becoming in future.
Mrs Adubiaro made the charge in her remark at the annual scholarship award ceremony organized by the former Minister of Education, Prof. Tunde Adeniran at his Orin-Ekiti country home on Friday. The SSG who was the Chairman of the occasion maintained that students should have a dream and work towards making their dream a reality. She added that though there might be some obstacles in their way towards achieving their dream but they have to be persevere and resilient because they can not get everything on bed of roses.
She said, “First and foremost is for you to have a dream that I want to become this in life either doctor or lawyer or engineer name it. Once you get your dream right that means what you have passion for, what you love doing, that is what you should go for not what is being dictated to you by your parents.
“Secondly, you have to build resilience and perseverance. In achieving your dream, you will encounter some obstacles because you can not get everything on a bed of roses. The most important thing for you as students is to stay focused on how to make your dream come to reality and not be distracted”
The SSG furthered in her remark by calling on students to refrain from any act that will hinder or prevent them from achieving their dream of becoming a something in life.
“Move towards your goals. Try to be reading towards your goals by not joining the multitude” the SSG advised.
The annual scholarship award ceremony was attended by important dignitaries which included the former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni and others.
