The General Overseer of the CAC Miracle City, a.k.a healing Centre, Bashiri in Ado Ekiti, Prophet Victor Olaniyi Oladapo has advised Government on an urgent need to ameliorate the suffering of the people by creating measures to cushion the effect of the hardship caused by subsidy removal.

The man of God called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to hasten action on palliatives to cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal before things get out of hand.

He made the call last Sunday service while addressing congratulations in the church during his ministration.

The prophet, who commended the President on his decision to remove fuel subsidy as a well-thought-out and calculated policy with the potential to pull the country from the precipice of bankruptcy, said the country will later be better for it.

However, he noted that the hardship caused by the removal of the subsidy could have been minimized if there had been provision for basic amenities on the ground.

The well traveled man of God pointed out that Nigeria’s fuel price was the lowest in the world before the removal of subsidy, saying this was not good enough as it affected Nigeria’s economy as well as foreign exchange earnings.

While assuring Nigerians of a better tomorrow with the removal of the fuel subsidy, Prophet Oladapo urged the government to put in place all the necessary infrastructures such as electricity, water, good roads and most especially, employment for those unemployed.

He said the effect was more pronounced because of the lack of basic amenities that could have helped people not feel the harsh effect of subsidy removal.

The Cleric also urged governments at all levels to be thorough and be transparent in disbursing the palliatives proposed by government.

He also advised Christians to stop worrying over the current situation, and assured better days are coming: “Don’t kill yourselves, this is my advice to all Christians, because this current situation is a passing phase, things shall get better soon, and I am very sure that better days are coming.”

“The situation is only getting worse because the government failed to provide basic amenities and infrastructure.

Government should create jobs and let there be all these facilities and amenities, our people would not feel the harsh effect much, but I can assure you, there is light at end of the tunnel” he added.
