Former Deputy Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hakeem Jamiu, has completed his All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic registration and membership validation exercise in his ward, Igbemo-Ekiti, calling on eligible constituents to actively participate in the ongoing process.

Jamiu, who was accompanied by his siblings during the exercise, said he successfully registered and received his temporary APC membership card, describing the initiative as a landmark development in Nigeria’s political party administration.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, the former  Deputy Speaker urged party members and prospective members of voting age to come out en masse to take part in the e-registration, noting that it would strengthen the party’s internal democracy and credibility.

“This exercise is novel in the history of political parties in Nigeria. It will, for the first time, provide an accurate and verifiable membership figure for the APC, not only in Ekiti State but across the country,” Jamiu said.

He added that the electronic registration would enhance transparency, improve data management, and position the party for more effective planning ahead of future elections.

Hon. Jamiu also commended the APC leadership at both state and national levels for embracing technology to deepen party structures and urged grassroots members to seize the opportunity to formally align with the party.

The APC e-registration and membership validation exercise is currently ongoing across wards in Ekiti State as part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its database and consolidate its grassroots support base
