Fayose To Atiku: Accept Defeat With Maturity And Return to Dubai

Former Governor of Ekiti State and People’s Democratic party, ( PDP) chieftain, Ayodele Fayose has advised Presidential Candidate of his Party, Atiku Abubakar to accept defeat in the yet to be announced winner of the election.

Though Nigerians are still awaiting the final announcement by the Independent Electoral Commission,(INEC) the winner of the February 25,2023 Presidential election held on Saturday.

A total of 18 presidential candidates contested the election which was held across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, on Saturday.

The election was postponed till Sunday in some polling units in different states due to violence, logistical problems, theft of BVAS and other issues.

While the election has been largely concluded across the 36 states and 774 local government areas in the country, and the INEC is now at the last stage of the collation and announcement of the final results and overall winner of the election.

In twit on Monday night by Fayose advised his Party’s Presidential Candidate, Atiku to accept defeat and retire peacefully to Dubai.

The tweet read, “Our candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar (aka ‘Atiku is coming’) should accept defeat in maturity and retire peacefully to Dubai. At this juncture, may I say good night and good bye to all you represent.”
