Fayemi Signs Ekiti Mental Health Bill Into Law

Heritagenewsng reports that Ekiti State Governor, Dr John Kayode Fayemi today signed Ekiti State Mental Health Service Bill into Law to address

the issues around the protection, care, and treatment of persons living with mental health disorders or substance abuse in our dear state.

This Act provides the legal framework for handling critical issues such as the hospitalisation of persons with mental disorders, the provision of high-quality care, the improvement of access to care and the protection of civil rights, as well as the protection and promotion of rights in other critical areas such as education and employment.

Fayemi’s administration remains committed to leaving no one behind in his pursuit to deliver qualitative and people-centered healthcare solutions.
