Insurance scheme facilitated by Chairman, Academic Staff Union Of Secondary Schools, (ASUSS), Com. Sola Adigun and others leaders of the union on Thursday donated Million Naira To Two Deceased who died while in active service.

The Head, Retails and Sales of Heirs Life Assurance/Heirs Insurance Ltd Mrs. Temidayo Molumo, who presented the cheque on Thursday on behalf of the Heirs Insurance Management before the handing over of the cheques to the two beneficiaries, both Malomo and Adigun commended the leadership of ASUSS in the state for their initiative and for caring for the welfare of their members even after death.
While acknowledging the contributions the ASUSS in the State that initiated the idea of the insurance scheme for members which has now bright about the relief packaged for the deceased family, Mrs Malumo specifically commended the leadership style of Com Adigun which she said has left no stone unturned to ensure that the insurance scheme benefited his members.

Malumo specifically acknowledged the strides of the leadership of ASUSS in making life better for their members.
She however commiserated with the immediate families of the two members of the Union who died while in active service, noting that such donated was crucial and needful at this time as no one could have reached out to them in such capacity.
Speaking earlier, ASUSS Chairman, Com Adigun disclosed that the Union had earlier reached out to the family and some others whom thier welfare required urgent attention one way or the other, pointing out that the union and it’s leadership does not joke with the welfare of it’s members.

Speaking further, Comrade Sola Adigun said “unionism is beyond agitation alone but involved welfare of members and support for them even in the grave”.
Adigun explained further that ASUSS would continue to set examples for all other Unions and Institutions in Ekiti State and beyond on how best to give members there a sense of belonging.

He advised members of the Union to enroll for the National Health Insurance Scheme and every available credible insurance policy due to their benefits.
The two beneficiaries thereafter appreciated the role played by the TUC Chairman, Comrade Sola Adigun, the leadership of ASUSS for their efforts, as well as that of the Insurance Companies who deemed it fit to assist and support their families with the donations.
