Falegan Gives thousands Forms To Ekiti Students amidst hardship

In his usual patriotic act of giving and selflessness, the founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation ODF Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan, will tomorrow commence the distribution of free Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, JAMB, forms to prospective candidates from all local government areas across the state.

The British Royal Air Force member , speaking to newsmen through one of his media aides Adewumi Francis, disclosed that he has plans underway to also reward the best performing candidates in the JAMB examination, to further encourage them to put in their best in the examination.

Falegan, describing the gesture as his “Education Support Programme” to support parents and students in the state, saying he is motivated to embark on the exercise because there are so many brilliant students from poor homes who may wish to further their education to a more higher level, but cannot do so because their parents cannot afford the fees.

Earlier he said the program cost millions of naira adding that it lessen the burden of most of Ekiti parents

“There are also orphans who have lost their parents without having anyone to cater for them educationally,” he said.

The Founder, also revealed that his team went round all the local government areas in the state for enlightenment, screening and that data capturing for the free JAMB forms which commence tomorrow will be given to those who really need it.

More than thousands beneficiaries will be at the registration centre in Ile Abiye centre tomorrow to get registered for the entrance examination courtesy of the Founder’s laudable provision.

Parents and students, who spoke with newsmen, were full of appreciation to the philanthropist, describing him as a true son of Ekiti.

One of the parents, Abdus-Salam Ojo Bello commended the uncommon gesture of Hon Falegan showering encomiums on him.

Abdus-Salam urged more Ekiti indigenes to emulate his good gestures.

Earlier a beneficiary, Miss Ajayi Titilayo Precious thanked ODF for his humanitarian services to the good people of Ekiti.

She prayed that, the lord will grant his heart desires

Meanwhile the distribution of free jamb forms is not his only area of philantropism as he had in recent times settled the medical bills of indigent patients in Ekiti state and empowering the market women and traders.

He also recently given the motorists and commercial motorcyclists free fuels and promised to do more soon.

It will amaze you that he is popularly known and address as “oko opo’ meaning husband to the widows. The has been given them support periodically.
