By Francis Adewumi

The Accord Party Governorship Candidate in 2026 Ekiti state gubernatorial election, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has joined millions Nigerians across the globe in celebrating men on Menr’s Day, extending warm felicitations and heartfelt appreciation for their steadfast commitment to family and society.

Speaking through his Media Aide Comrade Adewumi Francis, Hon.Opeyemi David Falegan commended men for their contribution to the development of our society.

He paid glowing tribute to the courage, resilience, and resolute love of real men who continue to stand as pillars of strength in their homes and communities.

He emphasized the weighty responsibility that men bear, often silently, and called on them to connect with Christ, “the Author and Finisher of our faith,” in whom alone they can find true rest and renewal.

“The journey of men
are full of joy, but also filled with unseen burdens, emotional strain, and spiritual battles. Many men are emotionally displaced and suffering in silence because society has conditioned them to be strong and never show vulnerability. But strength is found in surrendering to God and carrying His yoke, for only then will they find rest for their souls.”

Falegan acknowledged the commendable strides made by men in condemning violence against women and championing their protection but quickly pointed out that the plight of men is often ignored. “While violence against women has rightly received condemnation from all sectors of society, we must not overlook the quiet anguish that many men endure daily. They too face emotional and psychological challenges but are often left without support.”

According to him, men are the anchors of many homes, and when appreciated, you do even more.”

The governorhip candidate prayed for divine intervention in the lives of men.
