Excitement As Adeola Takes Oath Of Office As Commissioner

The Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr Biodun Oyebanji on Tuesday sworn-in Hon(Mrs) Tayo Adeola as Commissioner for trade, Investment and industry.

Mrs Adeola alongside other newly appointed commissioners and Special advisers took their oath of office and allegiance in presence of party supporters, well wishers, traditional rulers and top government officials. The inauguration ceremony was held at Osuntokun Pavilion in Ado-Ekiti.

Gov. Oyebanji in his address after administering oath of office on the newly political appointees congratulated them on crossing all hurdles to make to the final stage.

“I want to particularly congratulate the new Commissioners on crossing all the hurdles: starting from nomination from your political constituency, to clearance by the Appointment Committee and the State House of Assembly confirmation. There is no doubt that the process of your selection has been rigorous and competitive. From among similarly competent, brilliant and intelligent lots, you have been chosen. I also congratulate the Special Advisers for their call to service”

The Governor furthered by calling on the Commissioners to see their appointment as a rare privilege and a huge opportunity to serve the people. He demanded from them, total dedication to duty, diligence and commitment to the actualisation of the six pillars agenda of his administration which is his social contract with the people of Ekiti.

“I therefore want to call on you to see this appointment as a rare privilege and a huge opportunity to serve our people with all your abilities. God has found you favoured to have been called upon at a time like this. I therefore demand total dedication to duty, diligence and commitment to the actualisation of our Six Pillars which is our social contract with Ekitikete”

After the inauguration of the Commissioner, an elaborate reception was held for party leaders, supporters, family members and well wishers at Adetiloye Banquet hall along old Iyin road, Ado-Ekiti.

The reception was also attended by the Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro, the Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt(Hon) Bolaji Olagbaju, Deputy state Chairman of APC, Hon. Sola Elesin, local government chairmen and host of others dignitaries.

Recall that the investment banker had before her inauguration as Commissioner served as Special Adviser on Trade, Investment and Industry with remarkable achievements.
