Pro-democracy activist and Leader of the SouthWest Professionals, Chief Segun Ajibulu has laid curse on anyone that plans to repay Asiwaju Ahmed Bola’s good deeds with evil, saying “it is not a curse but words from the holy bible.”
Ajibulu who also called for Yoruba unity and support for the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) ahead of the 2023 Presidential poll, was the guest speaker at the Unity Conference organised by the Alliance For Yoruba Democratic Movement (AYDM) in Lagos, hinted that the only wise way to move the Nation forward at this critical time, “is to get Tinubu elected as president in 2023.”
The Conference comprising over 120 Pan Yoruba groups, community based and civil society associations with the theme; “2023: Presidential Election; Which way forward for Yoruba nation?”
Ajibulu, a United States of America, USA based tax expert disclosed that many people who oppose the presidential bid of the former Lagos State governor did so” ignorantly ”.
“Unfortunately and sadly, majority of them are those that Tinubu has done one good thing or the other for or have affected their lives and that of their family members positively in one way or the other.”
With a particular reference to Yoruba Unity, Ajibulu called on Yorubas to rally round their own son, Asiwaju Tinubu, saying many Igbos who were opposed to him have now started having change of mind having gotten credible information about his laudable antecedents.
He stated further that history is replete with narratives of betrayals and rejection of our kinsmen when there were urgent needs to give them unalloyed support.
According to him, “Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Chief MKO Abiola, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and many sons and daughters of Yoruba extraction have suffered similar fate from betrayal syndrome.
“In other words, the political ambitions of many Yoruba indigenes were scuttled while their political vicissitudes and travails were largely traceable to principal dramatis personae of Yoruba extraction.
“Regrettably, some individuals of Yoruba extraction have begun their campaigns of innuendoes, politics of bitterness and cynicism deploying the divisive tool of Pull– Him– Down syndrome.
“There is no doubt that the counsel of Ahitophel over Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu’s political journey towards Nigeria’s presidency come 2023 will turn into foolishness.
“At this juncture, it is imperative to ask the following one million dollars questions: How long will the script of “omo ina lan ran si ina” which literally translates, ‘use one of the their own against one another’ play out in Yoruba land?
“How long are we going to stroke the embers division imprecation that “enu Yoruba ko ni ko laelae”, meaning / the Yoruba people will never be united?
“What sadden me most We have seen some of the people that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu brought from nothing to be somebody, who are now the one in the forefront of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu political enemies lending hand to those who are bent on pulling on down.
“One thing is clear though in the bible, the book of Proverb chapter 17 vs 13 ‘Evil will never depart the house of anyone that repays good with evil’ so to say that “Evil Will never depart house of anyone that repays Tinubu’s hood with Evil”
“Now that the clock of franchise ticks towards the 2023 presidential election, which way forward for the Yoruba nation? The answer to above pertinent questions is not far–fetched. The only and wise way forwards for the Yoruba nation is domiciled in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency come 2023.”
Citing his uniqueness, Ajibulu said that Tinubu stands far above other contenders. “He is a very experienced politician. As a former Senator, activist and former governor of Lagos State, our nation need his sagacious nature and liberal mind to lead the country. He has also nurtured and empowered many who are doing well in governance today in the country.”
He noted that by taking a cursory look at Tinubu’s seven point agenda which comprise transitional leadership; technology advancement of the country; security; infrastructural development; home grown business development; education and other, that Tinubu is a strong card and surest bet to secure the Yoruba nations.
His words; “Without mincing words, a dipstick analysis of Tinubu’s requisite experiences all–round skills and score card as a former Senator, Activist and Lagos State Governor comfortably situate him in the most vantage position for the job of the number one citizen of Nigeria.”
Ajibulu pointed out that, it’s no gain saying that the Nation at this time need the political sagacity of Asiwaju. “Permit me, therefore, to say that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has an enviable pedigree of an undauntedly detribalized leader who is endowed with unparalleled talent management and creative problem solving abilities.
“His legacy as the former Lagos state Governor alongside an army of star he has raised in all departments of endeavours speak volumes of his capacity and capability to rescue Nigeria from asphyxiating grips of prospective political hucksters.
“We cannot afford a self–centered or a dreamer that his propaganda numbers never add up to run this country at this critical stage of our nation. This is not the time for try and error. Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver Please take that to the bank.” Ajibulu submitted.
