Six years ago today, 14th May 2016 would have people from all walks of life come together on a rainy evening at the Marquee Tent of the famed Benue Hotels Makurdi to witness the birth of an idea that was conceived on a vision to create a society without barriers to decent living.

That was the official inauguration of Eunice Spring of Life Foundation (ESLF) envisioned and Founded by the wife of the Executive Governor of Benue State Dr. Eunice Ortom.

While introducing the foundation, Dr. Mrs. Ortom stated that ESLF wasn’t just a tenured pet project of a Governor’s wife, but a Non-Governmental Organization that would be diligent and committed to working with the poor and vulnerable in improving their lives through networking and building their consciousness towards poverty reduction, improved health, education and improved agricultural services.

With over 500 women and youth empowered with trainings and financial grants, over 80,000 people benefitting from the ESLF Free medical outreaches, to 100 council wards across the state and IDP camps, direct sponsorship/scholarship and payment of examination fees for indigent students, organisation and sponsorship of sporting events, mentorship programs for women and youth, provision of agricultural trainings and aids as well as the advocacy for involvement and inclusion of women and youth in politics and administration, it is no doubt that this intent in form of a vision is materializing into a truism.

Little wonder, the Eunice Spring of Life Foundation and its Founder, Dr. Eunice Ortom have continued to be honoured with accolades, laurels and awards of commendation for the impact of ESLF on the people and the society in general.
