Erelu Fayemi, Other Governors’ Wives Visit NDLEA Chairman Over High Rate Of Drug Abuse, Others

Members of the Nigeria Governors Wives Forum led by its Chairperson, HE, Erelu Bisi Fayemi have paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa and his team to discuss the appalling rate of drug abuse in the country and the strategic way of eliminating the menace in society.

The NGWF have taken on the eradication of Drug Abuse as one of its core mandates in addition to fighting Gender Based Violence and its other advocacies.

The Governors Wives Forum also commended the law enforcement agency for its efforts in fighting drug trafficking across the country and expressed hope that the Agency under Brig Gen Buba Marwa will witness more successes given the current approach to the fight against drug trafficking in the country. A working relationship was outlined in order to enhance the role the First Ladies are already playing in the States.

First Ladies present in the meeting were Secretary, NGWF and First Lady of Kwara State, Her Excellency, Ambassador, Dr. Olufolake Abdulrazaq and First Lady of Imo State, Her Excellency, Barrister Chioma Uzodinma
