The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, has been treated to a glorious valedictory reception by the staff of her office in appreciation of her sterling performance and good relationship they enjoyed with her in the last four years.
They also celebrated the First Lady for the successful completion of a stellar tenure which they believed has had a great impact on the lives of women, children and the less privileged in terms of policies and projects executed by the office.
The event which offered an opportunity to shower encomiums on Erelu Fayemi and celebrate her virtues was also marked by display of emotion during speeches by the staff who said they would miss her for giving them support, warmth and motherly care.
The gathering comprises staff from the protocol and administrative department, press crew, security unit, mobilization, gender and advocacy, drivers, and domestic staff members.
Speakers from each department in the office appreciated the Governor’s wife for giving members of Staff the enabling environment to contribute their quota to the smooth running of the office.
They eulogized the kindness of the First Lady whom they noted has touched so many lives within and outside the office .
In her parting words, Erelu Fayemi charged the workers to ensure they show love and kindness to others around them.
“I am grateful for every opportunity I have to render help to people at one time or the other, I am a recipient and beneficiary of God’s mercy and grace.”
The wife of the governor appreciated the workers for their loyalty and support which according to her resulted to the success recorded so far.
Also at the event, the first lady was showered with gifts by different units in the office.
