Encomium As Ekiti Federal Lawmaker, Fatoba Empowers Farmers With Cocoa Seedlings, Cash Worth Millions Of Naira
In his bid to boost agriculture and fight against poverty in his constituency, Hon. Fatoba Olusola Steve who is representing Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 1 at the National Assembly and also Chairman of House Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values has commenced the distribution of cocoa seedlings and cash worth millions of naira to some selected farmers in Ado/Irepodun-Ifelodun local governments.
The distribution of cash and cocoa seedlings to the farmers took place at NLC hall Egbewa, Ado-Ekiti on Friday. Over one hundred farmers were selected for this empowerment programme.
Before the commencement of distribution of cocoa seedlings to the farmers, the party chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Mike Akinleye commended Fatoba for keeping his people in mind and boosting agriculture in his constituency. He described the lawmaker as a worthy representative who has not betrayed the trust reposed in him by his constituents.
Mr Akinleye thanked the lawmaker for facilitating this opportunity for his constituents and urged the beneficiaries not to sell the seedlings but plant it so that it can become a source of income for them and also add to the economic growth of the state.
“I want to commend Hon. Fatoba for keeping his people in mind at all time and for taking the good step to boost agriculture in his constituency. This is not the first time of organizing this type of program for his constituents.
“We thank him for facilitating this good opportunity for our people. I want to urge the beneficiaries not to sell what will be given to them but make judicious use of it”
In the same vein, Chief Akinsola Peter who is the Chairman of all the ward chairmen of APC in Irepodun-Ifelodun lauded Hon. Fatoba for his good representation and providing his constituents the opportunity to be self-reliant.
“We are really impressed with the way he has been representing us and for always providing his constituents the opportunity to be self-reliant. That is a trait of good leadership”
The beneficiaries of the empowerment programme through their representative, Mr Ayodele Ogundele showed their profound appreciation to the Reps. member and prayed for his continual success.
