A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Chief Segun Ajibulu has appealed to all the aggrieved Contestants to embrace peace and join hands with the winner of the last week Governorship primary election in the state in the interest of Party.

He equally tasked the leadership of the party in the State and National to initiate reconciliatory process to address the fallout of the just concluded Governorship Primaries in Ekiti .

Ajibulu, former Commissioner, Pension Commission made this advocacy ,while congratulating the winner, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) during an interview  with heritagenewsng in Ado-Ekiti.

Specifically, Ajibulu admonished the stakeholders not to leave anything to chance. If the party must win the June 18 Governorship poll.

He opined that the Governorship Primaries  were substantially  peaceful and credible contrary to insinuations in some quarters.

Ajibulu who is also the leader of the SouthWest Professionals therefore cautioned the aggrieved former aspirants to embrace peace in the best interest and survival of the party in Ekiti .

According to him, some people are angry and they the right to do so, and that is the beauty of our democracy. Every one has the right  to express his or her feelings. But it must be at the detriment of the survival of the party .

” It is naturally for anyone who lost out in any contest to be aggrieved. Many of them have invested their resources and time in the project. But election or contest is like a football competition where a winner must reneged at the end of  the day .And a winner has emerged now,so evened to give peace a  chance .There is always another day .What is not achievable today can be achievable tomorrow.

In the spirit sportsmanship the losser must  embrace the winner while the winner too must be magnanimous  in victory. But in this case ,it is “No Victor  ,No Vanquished  I will rather say our party won, because we are all working for  the survival of party in Ekiti State in particular and Nigeria as a whole .

” I monitored the exercise in my area and it was not only peaceful but credible ,there was no incident of violence or brigandage. So,I want to appeal to the aggrieved to join hands with Oyebanji to move the party forward. We all stand to benefit a lot if APC remains in power .

” The choice of Oyebanji as the standard bearer of APC is like putting a round peg in a round hole.He is well groomed for the task.Dont forget our candidate is not a novice ,he has been in government since 1999,even before then Oyebanji  had moved  and interacted with the elders in the state..He was Secretary of the Ekiti State creation Committee.
