The management of the Ekiti State University, (EKSU), Ado Ekiti has reacted to a news published by online media title: EKSU Graduates Losing Their Jobs Because of 2020 Kwara College Certificate Demand.

The university management in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofintuyi has refuted the contents of the publication, adding that its graduands have been collecting their certificates and transcripts.

The statement also added that rather,  Kwara EKSU Graduates failed to comply with instructions laid down the university management.

The statement reads: “The attention of the Management of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has been drawn to a report titled: EKSU GRADUATES ARE LOSING THEIR JOBS BECAUSE OF 2020 KWARA COLLEGE CERTIFICATE DEMAND.

“The report is not just only laden with unsubstantiated facts but also spurious.
EKSU Management wishes to refute the contents of the publication and to state that its graduands have been collecting their certificates and transcripts seamlessly immediately after graduation so far such graduates comply with the laid down rules and regulations.

All graduands both from the main campus and affiliated colleges who complied with the university specifications collected their certificates on the day of convocation.

“Members of the public are to note that only those who failed to comply with the directives are the ones having challenges in collecting their certificates.

“The university Management came up with an innovation whereby passport photographs of graduates are embossed on the certificates.

“Students were directed and sensitized on how to upload their passport photographs on the university website giving certain specifications as far back as year 2022.

“However, some of these students refused to adhere to the specifications by uploading effigies and diverting from the specifications.

“Certificates in institutions all over the world are issued with individual institution having its own peculiar features since certificates from an institution cannot carry different specifications.

“The concerned graduates could not collect their certificates due to their refusal to comply with the approved specifications.

“Our graduates from the Kwara State College of Education in Oro having this challenge are hereby advised to do the needful so that they can collect their certificates without further delay”. The university management added.
