Ekiti Tragic Attack: Advocate Of Rule Of Law And Human Dignity Condoles Gov. Oyebanji

The Advocate of Rule of Law and Human Dignity has condoled with the governor of Ekiti state, Mr Biodun Oyebanji and the entire people of Ekiti on the devastating attack that place on Monday at Oke-Ako in Ikole-Ekiti local government which led to the tragic loss of two traditional rulers, Kabiyesi, Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, and HRM Oba Olatunde Samuel.

The group in a signed statement by its Lead Director, Barrister Adebanji Dada described the untimely demise of these paramount rulers as a profound loss not only to their respective communities but also to the broader Ekiti State, as their leadership and wisdom played an integral role in the development and well-being of their people.

The statement reads, ”
We extend our deepest condolences to His Excellency, Governor Biodun
Abayomi Oyebanji, the people of Esun Ekiti, Imojo Ekiti, and the entire good
people of Ekiti State, on the devastating attack that took place recently,
resulting in the tragic loss of two traditional rulers, Kabiyesi, Oba David
Babatunde Ogunsakin, the Elesun of Esun-Ekiti, and HRM Oba Olatunde Samuel
Olusola, the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti.

“The untimely demise of these paramount rulers is a profound loss not only to
their respective communities but also to the broader Ekiti State, as their
leadership and wisdom played an integral role in the development and
well-being of their people. We share in the grief of the affected communities
and stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time”

The organization in her condolences furthered that the heinous attack
Is a stark reminder of the pressing need for enhanced security measures in our
communities. They expressed optimism that the perpetrators of this dastardly act would be brought to justice.

The organization also commiserated with the families of the abducted pupils and teachers in Emure-Ekiti and implored all relevant authorities to do everything in their power to secure the safe return of the abducted individuals.

“The heinous attack that led to the tragic deaths of these revered leaders is a
stark reminder of the pressing need for enhanced security measures in our
communities. We strongly condemn this act of violence and senseless loss of life.
It is our hope that the perpetrators will be fished out and brought to justice.

“Additionally, our hearts go out to the families of the abducted pupils and
teachers in Emure Ekiti. The safety and well-being of ours children are
paramount, and we implore all relevant authorities to do everything in their power to secure the safe return of the abducted individuals”

The advocate group expressed her deep concern regarding the overall security situation in the country and called on the federal government to take decisive action to improve the security of lives and properties across the nation.

In conclusion, the organization prays for the souls of the traditional rulers to rest in peace and their families to find strength and solace during this trying period.

“In light of these distressing events, we wish to express our deep concern
regarding the overall security situation in the country. It is imperative that the
federal government takes decisive action to improve the security of lives and
properties across the nation. We believe that now is the time for a
comprehensive overhaul of the security architecture to address the evolving
challenges facing our communities.

“As an organization dedicated to upholding the principles of rule of law and
human dignity, we remain committed to advocating for a safer and more secure
environment for all citizens. We stand ready to collaborate with relevant
stakeholders to ensure that necessary measures are put in place to prevent such
tragedies from occurring in the future.

“May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may their families find strength
and solace during this trying period” The statement reads.
