It is the delight of the Ekiti Council of Traditional Rulers to warmly congratulates the the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his decisive victory at the just concluded presidential election that held on February 25, 2023.
The Council notes with satisfaction that the election has been adjudged free and fair and a true representation of the wishes of the majority of Nigerians across the geopolitical zones.
The Council commends the electorates for their peaceful disposition during and after the election despite the tension that normally follows elections.
Council also commends the Independent National Electorate Commission (INEC) for the successful completion of the election and called on the Commission to take a critical review of its systems to ensure some glitches that occurred in the course of previous elections are corrected for a more perfect electoral process.
Council also congratulates all the elected members of the Houses of Senate and Representatives from Ekiti State on their victory at the poll.
Council appeals to them to give the best representation to Ekiti people and to work in cooperation with the Governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for the socioeconomic development of Ekiti.
Council further charges them to always make themselves accessible to their constituents.
Council appeals to all political stakeholders to approach the remaining election(s) with the same mature and democratic finesse demonstrated on February 25, 2023 for the peace and progress of Ekiti.
